User assist
Any newscast automation system should be measured on the user assisted automation features; i.e. its ability to deviate from the rundown and send clips, stories, live-events, graphics and effects to air while staying rundown synchronized. Then, at any time return to the original, in the meantime probably revised, rundown. With few keystrokes, Mosart lets the Director:
- start at any story, skip or un-skip a story element and set any story of the rundown as next
- preview and/or take to air any camera or external line
- preview and/or take to air DVE's, graphics, CGs, clips and illustration footage of any story in any loaded rundown
- search server directories for clips to preview and/or take to air
- take CGs on and off using single keystrokes when not timed in the rundown
all this while maintaining control of timing .
Mosart supports fader-panel for user fine adjustment of audio faders. One can also produce directly on gallery control surfaces (e.g. audio mixer) without disabling automation control and Mosart will not fight such direct user adjustments. Mosart further has facilities to temporarily, permanently or through predefined settings, disable control of any or many gallery devices in order to facilitate manual device operation.
In addition to the user assisted and manual operation modes, Mosart supports fully automated rundown play-out of segments, loops or full rundowns, making a Mosart equipped gallery very flexible.
