Templates
Mosart templates are device independent, which means than you can even replace the video switcher, or any other gallery device, without modifying the Mosart templates. This device independent concept allows one to re-use rundowns and show definitions in various control rooms and studios without modification.
The fundamental templates are primary templates defining story element (e.g. voiceover, camera, full screen graphics) actions, secondary templates defining actions on top of it (e.g. CG's). Templates can be manually taken, have timing relative to the story element or have an absolute time. One can execute a full sequence of secondary template actions when taking a primary.
One Mosart installation in one gallery may produce multi channel outputs (simulcast) with different branding on the two channels. The template concept allows for content to differ on the two channels during certain program sequences, e.g. sports footage are broadcasted on one channel and graphics on the second channel where publishing rights are limited.
Macro functionality provides the possibility to invoke a full sequence of template actions under a single newsroom computer system command. For complex sequences, e.g. headlines, Mosart provides context sensitive templates, making template behavior dependent of its order in the rundown sequence; e.g. starts sound on first headline template and fade out after last headline, allowing the editorial staff to reorder headlines up to the last second before airing.
Mosart supports multiple studio/program profiles. Without modifying rundown: in the morning show voiceover clips are shown on the video wall with anchor in front, while the 7pm news displays the voiceover clip full screen; at 5pm news there is one anchor, at 7pm news two anchors. This is all managed through simple studio/program profile selection.
