Clip handling
Mosart supports a numerous set of video servers including GV K2, Harris Nexio, Omneon's, Quantel's, Avid's and Ardendo. Should a different video server interface be required, Mosart will do a thorough implementation as part of a normal delivery project. Several server types/manufacturers can be controlled by Mosart simultaneously.
Server channels are automatically allocated for the main program output as well as for secondary output such as to the studio video wall. In case of server failure, one can perform a fast change to a predefined back-up port set.
The graphical user interface clearly indicates missing clips, being unpopulated placeholders or erroneous filenames. Clip in-point may be shifted by the Director in the Mosart user interface before being played.
Mosart provides the Director with confidence view by allowing him to view the first frame of any clip in the rundown. Growing clips are supported, growing clips being clips that are ingested and still increasing in size while played*)**). The user can define behavior at end of clip: either to hold the last frame or to loop the clip*).
The Director may also search for clips on the server and insert them directly into the rundown in the Mosart user inferface*).
*) feature may not be available on all video servers
**) feature may not be applicable to all formats
